RCI International enters the Acrylic drum market with its “ RCI Starlite™ Super Duty™ series acrylic drums. Know as being the most reputable acrylic drum restoration experts in the world RCI International has introduced its line of Starlite™ Super Duty acrylic drums. It has been our dream after years of restoration work to come out with these handcrafted gems. Many in the past have tried to come out with a version but suffer from some short comings such as sturdiness and consistency. Also a major factor is the cost to produce these items since they are all handmade.

With the help from the top engineers in the country and a few original engineers at the Ludwig company during the Vistalite era of the 70s. With yesterdays and today s technology RCI International has contracted with the top manufactures and fabricators in the world to painstakingly produce these beautiful pattern Acrylic drum products of yesteryear. Still handcrafted in the same way as in the past each patterned designed drum is created to precise geometric specifications and hand fabricated for a one of a kind drum kit, snare etc. With today’s technology we are able to correct some of the mistakes associated with hand crafted products in the past. The end result yields a more consistent high quality drum product without the assistance of any automated machinery. 

Colors 

We have the original colors that were offered in the 70s and also offer some New Retro Styles that are divided into 4 categories:

(Because of or different acrylic formulations and new acrylic technologies colors are similar to the acrylic from the 1970s but not an exact match.)

Handcrafted Pattern Designs 

Available in the traditional pattern drums are the pattern 1-5 drums (see shell picture) and also some new pattern designs like the intricate pattern drums called “Psychedelic Lava” available in the custom series and the “ Spirit of America™” this is in celebration of the country we live in. To show the strength of this great country we styled it around the most influential and the most powerful drummers of all time............. John Bonham. The Spirit of America Kit is equipped with a 14x26 bass drum, 12x15 mounted tom with RCI Rail Consolette, 6.5x14 Super Duty II snare drum, 16x18 Floor tom, and 18x 20 floor tom. 

The entire RCI Starlite™ series pattern drums are handcrafted, precision cut, pieced together and hand formed. This in hand yields a truly exquisite original piece of drum artwork that cannot be duplicated by any wood drum.    

All colors can be mixed and matched to create a one of a kind piece of artwork to be treasured for years.

A new factor also is that RCI has incorporated a new muffled bass drum head (beater side) so that the ugly side of putting blankets sponges etc inside your bass drum is obsolete. This way you do not have to sacrifice the beauty of your translucent acrylic drums any longer.
